Day 16: Surgery Tomorrow!

We are excited to report that Vivienne is scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30. Apparently the results of her latest echocardiogram were positive enough to move up the date. Dave and I are both excited and nervous. This is major surgery, but it's not an elective procedure - it has to be done despite the potential risks. Thankfully Viv has a world renowned surgeon to help put our minds at ease. We are anxious to learn about the size of her defect and her left lung. The procedure should only take about 90 minutes, but it will probably feel like an eternity.

Here's a video from CHOP that discusses the repair:

Finally, here are a few pictures from today's visit. Stay tuned for a post-surgery update tomorrow morning.
Holding hands with daddy.

She loves stretching her legs.

Love that face (tape and all).
